AnteAGE MDX® Exosome Solution, from AnteAGE MD (Irvine, Calif.), is the first of its kind to combine bone marrow stem cells (BM-MSC) and umbilical cord stem cells (UC-MSC) within one exosome solution for topical use in combination with microneedling, laser and other ablative treatments.

“I think it is really important to understand that there is new science in longevity that reveals aging is reversible,” reported board-certified dermatologist Glynis Ablon, MD, founder of Ablon Skin Institute and Research Center (Manhattan Beach, Calif.). “With regenerative medicine and regenerative factors like exosomes, we can reprogram our aging tissue. I am always looking for companies that really do the research and find the scientific background, and AnteAGE is the company that has the backing of science behind what they claim.”

According to Dr. Ablon, most exosomes are derived either from UC-MSC or AT-MSC (Adipose), and some are plant derivatives, but AnteAGE exosomes combine (BM-MSC) and (UC-MSC) for maximum results. “I apply these exosomes to the skin of any patient that I perform ablative laser on or any kind of treatment that results in wounding to the skin, so they heal faster and better, and their skin looks amazing,” she continued.

AnteAGE exosomes come in a lyophilized form for quality and purity, which can be reconstituted with their Diluent Solution just prior to treatment. “I also like that these exosomes are refrigerated, so I do not have to defrost,” added Dr. Ablon.

Board-certified dermatologist Julie Russak, MD, founder and CEO of Russak Dermatology Clinic (New York, N.Y.) uses exosomes to optimize results and reduce downtime for her patients. “We combine them with treatments such as radiofrequency (RF) microneedling, fractional and CO2 laser treatments, and hair restoration therapy,” she reported. “My practice is in Manhattan, and we are notorious for wanting results with absolutely no downtime. Being able to provide my patients with the ability to decrease downtime with even more aggressive procedures like a CO2 laser has been a great benefit.”

Dr. Russak and her staff have also noticed a quicker patient turnaround. “The use of AnteAGE exosomes enhances the healing process, allowing patients to recover faster and return for subsequent treatments sooner,” she explained. “As a result of the improved outcomes, increased patient satisfaction and positive patient experiences, we have noticed an increase in referrals. Satisfied patients are more likely to recommend our services to friends and family, contributing to the growth and success of our practice.”

According to Todd Schlesinger, MD, dermatologist and director of the Dermatology and Laser Center in Charleston, S.C. “In some cases, we are using AnteAGE exosomes instead of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) post-procedurally,” he explained. “With PRP you have to draw blood and spin it down, which can be inconsistent and time consuming. But with exosomes, there is a standardized quality that we can count on, which is a benefit over using PRP.”

It is clear that exosomes are making an impact in regenerative medicine, and AnteAGE is focused on leading the way in innovation. “In aesthetics, practitioners really should be knowledgable on the most updated information, products and treatments available. AnteAGE exosomes give me confidence I am offering exactly that,” Dr. Ablon concluded.
