Countdown to The Aesthetic Show 2018 in Vegas

Article-Countdown to The Aesthetic Show 2018 in Vegas

Entering its 12th year, The Aesthetic Show (TAS) 2018 has earned its place as a premier educational event. This year’s show, taking place July 5 - 8, 2018 at The Wynn in Las Vegas, will draw leading clinicians across the spectrum of cosmetic disciplines and showcase every aspect of aesthetic medicine.

As Joseph Niamtu, III, DMD, a cosmetic facial surgeon in Richmond, Va., and TAS scientific advisory board member, tells The Aesthetic Channel, “The Aesthetic Show is a special type of meeting, as it is truly a show. It is a combination of teaching, learning, exhibits and Hollywood. There are international experts from virtually every cosmetic discipline including surgical, non-surgical, injectables and everything in between, from head to toe.”

A who’s-who in cosmetic medicine, The Aesthetic Show’s line-up includes a multidisciplinary advisory board featuring industry leaders, such as: plastic surgeon and regenerative medicine expert, Mark Berman, M.D. (Beverly Hills, Calif.); past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Suneel Chilukuri, M.D. (Houston, Texas); and board certified dermatologist Wendy Roberts, M.D. (Rancho Mirage, Calif.).

This year’s meeting will tackle hot topics in cosmetic medicine, including regenerative aesthetics, feminine rejuvenation and male aesthetics, as well as offer in-depth learning experiences for some of today’s most in-demand procedures, including facial injectables, body shaping and skincare.

Michael Moretti, founding chairman of The Aesthetic Show, will moderate the show's opening session, “The Aesthetic Visionaries,” which focuses on the mega trends driving the aesthetic inustry forward. Presentations include: “Outpacing the Competition,” by plastic surgeon Andrew Ordon, M.D., who co-hosts CBS's talk show The Doctors and serves as TAS's scientific chairman; “Preserving the Masculine Identity,” by Terrence Keaney, M.D.; and “New Paradigm in Skin Health Management,” by Zein Obagi, M.D.

Presenters will offer a look at the not-so distant future of cosmetic medicine, with topics such as: “The Future of Robotics in the Future of Aesthetics,” by Farhan Taghizadeh, M.D., in addition to two concurrent sessions: “The Regenerative Aesthetics Revolution,” moderated by Richard Goldfarb, M.D., and “A Glimpse into the Future of Plastic Surgery,” moderated by Dr. Ordon and Ritu Chopra, M.D., which will explore today’s newest procedures and how to manage extreme expectations.

The Aesthetic Show definitely has something for everyone in an aesthetic practice, from physicians to clinical and business staff to aestheticians.

Experts will share their knowledge about how to grow aesthetic practices, engage patients, respond to negative reviews, effectively use social media and drive demand for cosmetic procedures throughout the plethora of practice management courses being offered during TAS's pre-show education and main program.

The Certified Aesthetic Consultant Fast Track Certification Program promises to give aesthetic professionals the tools they need to take their practices to the next level. This full-day program features sessions in advanced marketing, practice metrics, counseling skills and management.

“The whole office can benefit from learning in this fun environment,” Dr. Niamtu says.

Included in the plans for networking, socializing and fun, The Aesthetic Show will honor industry innovators and influencers during the TAG! You’re It! Aesthetic Awards event on the evening of Saturday, July 7. This event will take place on the main stage in the exhibit hall and feature Dr. Ordon as the host.

The Aesthetic Show's educational opportunities are set in accordance with the educational requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center so physician and nurse attendees can earn continuing medical education credits (CMEs) and nursing continuing education credits, respectively.

UBM, which owns U.S.-based medical publications, including Dermatology Times, The Aesthetic Guide and The Aesthetic Channel, owns The Aesthetic Show in North America.
